The Challenge
The Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP) first published the Low Emission Van Guide in 2015, with the objective of helping fleets understand the suitability of different low emission technologies and fuels for their operation. A slightly updated version of the guide was published in 2016.
In the two years since that update, significant changes have occurred in the van market including new legislation at international, national and city levels, and increased availability of practical, cost-effective alternatively fuelled vehicles. LowCVP therefore recognised the need to substantially revise and update the Low Emission Van Guide.
The Development
Cenex undertook the following:
- Whole life cost (WLC) modelling to compare alternative fuels and technologies against a conventional diesel vehicle.
- Interviews with fleets and technology suppliers to capture quantitative and qualitative information to produce informative and engaging case studies.
- Researched, drafted and reviewed new copy throughout the guide.
- Procured and managed desktop publishing (DTP) services.
